Prepare to die, hard.

I think that this year's Jimmy Kimmel interview was just as good as the one from before Love Actually. It just wasn't long enough! Dennis Leary was funny, but they should have had less of him and more Alan Rickman. Ice Cube wasn't to bad, either. I didn't see you, snoopylover9.

I love the way that Jimmy brought up Alan's perfect voice (that was probably snoopylover9 Woo-ing in the background.) I loved that he quoted a line from Die Hard!

Episode from 2003 (I completely forgot about this interview, or I would have spent my vacation stalking around Paddington Station, trying to get an invite for tea.):

Todays episode (with one of our most beloved thespians):

Thanks so much for posting this! Can't wait to see Nobel Son - I've been waiting ever since I heard he was in California shooting it 2 years ago.

AR came across as very relaxed so that it was fun to watch him. But what I'm never going to understand is why these hosts always try to press ten different topics in such a short interview. Wouldn't it be more interesting to discuss one or two topics only but in more detail?

They (the host's) have TV ADD. They think we won't be entertained unless the show is fast paced and covers more than ten topics in a short segment.

I think that you are right. We would have enjoyed it much more if they had concentrated on one or two topics and had a longer amount of time to each guest.

That's interesting ... I got a different impression - at the beginning, it seemed to me that he had a hard time getting comfortable in the chair ... and then mentioning that he and his slow speech had to follow a million-word-a-minute Dennis Leary. Not exactly conducive to relaxing before being subjected to who knows what kind of questions ...

Despite that, I thought he was rather adorable in the interview. But I agree - less Leary, more Alan!

It's a pleasure.

You might be interested in another AR Movie Meme that I did some time back.

There is a list of 46 movies, and one would bold which movies they've seen, and underline which one they've seen first.

Click here to have a look at it.

Cheers!

Doesn't he always fidget? He really didn't come across as feeling uncomfortable to me. Interesting, indeed, how different impressions can be. :)

Is it horrible of me that my first thought while watching this was, "OMG, I've met Toby Keith. And he's met Alan! *squee!*

I am such a fangirl...

I'm sorry that your husband is such a spoilsport. I have friends and family like that. My brother gives me a really hard time about him (Alan Rickman).

I'm glad you were able to enjoy the interview without commentary.
